Following the end of CYTOMINE CORPORATION SA's commercial activities in July 2024, all the company's assets were taken over by the University of Liège (Belgium).
As part of its research and teaching missions, the University of Liège is taking back the lead on the development and maintenance of the Cytomine platform.

The Cytomine official documentation have been revised and completed with new sections for developers and data scientists, and more particularly on the Cytomine python client.

Beyond theses changes in content, it is above all a sign of strengthening the Cytomine community that is expressed (May the 4th be with you!) : the documentation of the official Community version and the different flavors, such as ULiège version, are now sharing the same base, for more consistency.
This update being done, the community will now focus on enhancements of the global API of Cytomine and how to exploit it using the different Cytomine clients (python, java and javascript).
