UCLouvain contributes to our Open Access Image Collection

It's an honour for Cytomine to welcome the University of Louvain (UCLouvain, Belgium) as the first vegetal whole slide contributor to our Open-Access Image Collection.

These images are part of the plant histology collection of the Faculty of Sciences of UCLouvain. This collection is of great educational value.

The first batch posted includes roots, stems, and leafes, from both mono and dicotyledons, allowing biology teachers to create activities around the discovery of plants with their students, using our virtual microscope for free.

The Cytomine team warmly thanks Professors Guillaume Lobet and Muriel Quinet and their colleagues for their trust in our Open Access Collection.

To learn more about the philosophy of this collection see the dedicated about page.
